About the Assignment
We are looking for an Exterior Designer to lead the creation and development of innovative exterior vehicle design concepts. You will drive the design process end-to-end, collaborating closely with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, and marketing to ensure designs are both compelling and feasible for production.
Job Description
- Lead the conception, development, and execution of exterior vehicle designs from early concept to final tooling data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design intent with engineering and manufacturing requirements.
- Create high-quality sketches, renderings, and 3D models to communicate design direction and decisions.
- Continuously monitor trends, materials, and technologies to bring innovation into ongoing design work.
- Mentor interns and junior designers, supporting learning, creativity, and development.
- Report progress and insights to Chief Designers and contribute to the broader design strategy.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Automotive Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of automotive design experience with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
- Deep understanding of automotive design principles, manufacturing processes, and market trends.
- Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.
- Experience with Photoshop, Alias, Blender, and V-Red.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Mandarin.
