About the Assignment
As a Service Desk Technician, you will be the first point of contact for users who need technical assistance. You will support a wide range of IT-related issues and ensure users receive timely, high-quality help. The role combines hands-on troubleshooting with solid documentation practices, and you will also contribute to initiatives and improvements across the IT landscape.
You will be part of an internal Service Desk team distributed across multiple countries, working closely with colleagues across borders to deliver consistent support.
Job Description
- Respond to user inquiries and provide first-line technical support
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including operating systems, applications, and basic network-related problems
- Handle user account administration, such as password resets and access permissions
- Document, track, and follow up incidents and solutions in a ticketing system
- Escalate complex issues and collaborate with other IT teams to drive resolution
- Use available people, tools, and processes to resolve incidents efficiently
- Assist with setup and configuration of new hardware and software
- Provide guidance and user support on IT systems and applications
- Maintain clear and structured IT documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Service Desk Technician or in a similar IT support role, or a degree in Computer Science
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems and common end-user applications
- Basic network troubleshooting skills and understanding of core network concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a distributed team setup
- Fluent in English and Swedish (spoken and written)
