About the Assignment
We are looking for a Digital Hardware Designer to support development of advanced digital hardware in a professional engineering environment. You will work close to both design and verification, combining schematic work with hands-on lab activities and troubleshooting.
Job Description
- Design and develop digital hardware solutions involving CPUs, memories (DRAM/flash), Ethernet switches, and clocking components (e.g., synthesizers/jitter cleaners).
- Create and maintain schematics.
- Contribute to signal integrity work and identify potential issues early in the design cycle.
- Perform hands-on lab work including measurements, bring-up, debugging, and verification.
- Use lab instruments such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers to validate designs and troubleshoot problems.
- Drive your work independently by proactively seeking information and collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience in digital hardware design (e.g., CPUs, DRAM/flash, Ethernet switches, clock synthesizers/jitter cleaners).
- Understanding of signal integrity and related design challenges.
- Experience with schematic design.
- Hands-on experience working in a hardware lab, including solid soldering skills.
- Familiarity with common lab instruments (power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) and measurement techniques.
- Ability to work independently and drive tasks forward.
Nice to have
- Ability to simulate signal integrity issues using industry-standard tools.
