About the Assignment

For a client in the pharma industry, we are looking for a Lead Technical Architect to provide expert leadership for AVEVA PI architecture, governance, and integration across multiple production sites. You will help ensure PI is implemented and operated as a standardized, reliable, and compliant data backbone supporting manufacturing, automation, and operational analytics in a complex IT/OT environment.

Job Description

Act as the technical lead for production sites within scope, ensuring consistent implementation, operation, and governance of AVEVA PI.
Serve as the primary expert for AVEVA PI components, including PI Data Archive, Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, Event Frames, Interfaces, and Notifications.
Provide guidance on PI architecture, design patterns, and best practices across sites.
Support and evolve governance models, including roles and responsibilities, escalation paths, and lifecycle ownership.
Act as an SME in PI integration initiatives and resolve technical blockers related to tag lists, interfaces, and data flows.
Collaborate with Automation, IT/OT, Manufacturing, QA, and external vendors/data integrators.

Requirements

Proven ability to lead AVEVA PI architecture, governance, and integration in a multi-site environment.
Deep hands-on expertise in AVEVA PI, including PI Data Archive, Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, Event Frames, Interfaces, and Notifications.
Experience providing architectural guidance, design patterns, and best practices for PI implementations.
Experience supporting governance models (roles & responsibilities, escalation paths, lifecycle ownership).
Ability to act as an SME to remove technical blockers in integration work (e.g., tag lists, interfaces, data flows).
English (fluent).

Nice to have

Experience producing architecture/design input, AF models/templates, and naming standards.
Experience conducting site onboarding and readiness assessments.
Experience delivering technical reviews and recommendations.
Experience contributing SME input to RAID logs and status reporting.
