About the Assignment

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will act as a design authority within an engineering discipline, taking technical ownership across multiple mid-sized projects or key parts of major deliveries. You’ll ensure solutions are delivered cost-effectively and in line with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies.

You will work closely with project management and cross-functional teams throughout the full project lifecycle—from order intake to technical completion and contract closure—contributing to robust, compliant, and manufacturable technical solutions.

Job Description

• Act as technical lead and approve engineering/design deliverables.
• Review project documentation for conformity with safety, cybersecurity, and quality assurance requirements.
• Anticipate and resolve complex or unprecedented design challenges, critical issues, and unique conditions.
• Serve as a specialist in the application of advanced engineering concepts and methods.
• Define design focus areas and priorities to drive technological excellence.
• Escalate integrity, compliance, safety, cybersecurity, quality, contract, program, cost, and related issues to relevant management/project stakeholders.
• Ensure engineering activities and deliverables meet applicable safety and cybersecurity regulations, standards, and contractual requirements.
• Ensure the project Bill of Materials (BOM) fulfills contractual obligations.
• Identify and implement change/variation requests based on project manager approval.
• Support technical completion activities as part of contract closure.
• Collaborate closely with the project manager from contract receipt through closure to meet technical contract requirements.
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate supplier proposals, and collaborate with supply chain and project management.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and testing to ensure solutions are properly manufactured/staged and tested.
• Coordinate with commissioning/service teams to support installation and commissioning when included in the contract scope.
• Work with the customer to shape and deliver solutions, and gather feedback to drive improvements.
• Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for engineering projects/programs.

Requirements

• Experience acting as a design authority within an engineering discipline.
• Proven ability to lead and approve design deliverables and ensure technical compliance.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies/standards in an engineering context.
• Ability to review project documentation for conformity to contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working cross-functionally with project management, supply chain, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning/service functions.
• Ability to prepare RFQs and perform technical evaluation of supplier proposals.
• Experience managing or implementing change/variation requests with stakeholder approval.
