About the Assignment

You will join an initiative focused on extending an established Databricks platform with stronger AI capabilities. The assignment spans the full ML lifecycle, from data and feature work to model development, deployment and monitoring, with a clear focus on creating solutions that perform well in production.

You will work in an environment where technical quality and business value need to go hand in hand. That means balancing development, deployment and run costs with real impact, while helping shape practical AI solutions that can scale. Job Description

• You will build and maintain production-ready ML and AI solutions across the full chain: data, features, models, deployment and monitoring.
• You will design and operate AI functions in Azure and Databricks.
• You will contribute to architecture and implementation choices that balance performance, maintainability and cost against business value.
• You will work hands on with Python, ML frameworks and MLOps tooling to move solutions from experimentation into reliable production use.
• You will help strengthen software engineering practices around version control, CI/CD and testing in ML development.
• You may also support knowledge sharing and guide more junior ML and data engineers when needed.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience building and maintaining production models and AI solutions
• Ability to contribute to all parts of an AI solution
• Experience with the Azure AI stack, such as Azure AI services and Microsoft Foundry
• Strong Python skills
• Proficiency in ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLlib and Scikit-Learn
• Hands-on experience in designing and operating functions in Azure and Databricks
• Experience with at least one MLOps tool, ideally MLflow
• Strong experience in one of NLP, computer vision, timeseries or anomaly detection, with some experience in the others
• Experience with software engineering practices such as version control, CI/CD and testing
• A cost-conscious mindset that balances development, deployment and run costs with business value

Nice to have

• Experience with RAG systems
• Experience with agentic systems and RPA
• Experience with PySpark or Apache Spark
• Experience with event-driven systems or streaming data
• Experience mentoring junior ML and data engineers
