About the Assignment
You will help shape the next generation of in-car infotainment in the automotive industry. In this assignment, you will develop software for a connected user experience built on Android Automotive OS, with a focus on creating solutions that keep improving over time for drivers and passengers.
You will join an agile team with an open and collaborative way of working, where ideas are shared freely and cross-functional teamwork is a natural part of everyday development. You will work close to UX designers and other development teams to create a coherent end-to-end solution across the infotainment stack.

Job Description
- You will develop software in both the application layer and native layers of the AOSP stack for the infotainment system.
- You will collaborate with UX designers and development teams to define and build a consistent end-to-end user experience.
- You will take part in the full software development lifecycle, including design, architecture, documentation, development, verification, and validation.
- You will contribute to modern Android solutions and help drive quality through testing and structured development practices.
- You will stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to help keep the solution at the forefront of technology.
Requirements
- M.Sc. in Software Engineering, or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience in Android app development using Java and Kotlin.
- Knowledge of AOSP and the AOSP build system.
- Experience with Android architectural patterns such as MVP, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
- Experience working with traditional Android UI frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Android testing practices, including unit testing with JUnit and Mockk, instrumentation and UI testing with Espresso, and end-to-end testing where applicable.
- Comfort working in a Linux-based development environment.
- Experience with Python scripting.
- Strong knowledge of version control with Git.
- Familiarity with Gerrit for code review and collaborative development.
- Ability to complete a basic background check covering education, employment history, identity, and citizenship verification.
Nice to have
- Experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Previous work on automotive infotainment products or large-scale embedded Android platforms.
- A Swedish B driver’s license.
