About the Assignment

You will join an automotive development environment focused on advanced engineering and concept vehicles. The work is centered on early-phase development, where new technologies such as electrification, hydrogen, and e-Mining are explored and translated into feasible design concepts.

This is a collaborative setting with close interaction across R&D, Production, and other internal stakeholders. You will work in projects with short lead times, evolving priorities, and a high degree of uncertainty, where your ability to adapt and move ideas forward is important.

You will contribute to concept development and mechanical design that supports innovative technical solutions while keeping feasibility, system integration, and project goals in focus. Job Description

• You will contribute to concept development and early-phase mechanical design for advanced vehicles.
• You will create 3D models and concept-level drawings in Catia V5.
• You will develop and refine technical solutions within areas such as cooling systems, braking systems, steering, and battery installations.
• You will collaborate closely with R&D, Production, and cross-functional stakeholders to move concepts forward.
• You will support vehicle layout work and help ensure that designs are technically feasible.
• You will perform or support FEM calculations to validate design concepts.
• You will deliver design work at concept level within tight timelines and contribute to continuous improvement of technical solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical design or a related field
• Strong experience in concept development and early-phase engineering
• Proven experience working with Catia V5 (3D)
• Good knowledge of Enovia or similar PLM systems
• Experience in designing BEV solutions
• Understanding of vehicle layout and system integration
• Knowledge of FEM calculations for design validation
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements
• Fluent English
• Willingness to complete a background check

Nice to have

• Experience working with cooling systems, braking systems, steering, or battery components
• Swedish language skills
