About the Assignment
You will help shape service information used in truck workshops, with a focus on repair methods for engines, batteries for electric vehicles, and transmission-related areas. The assignment is part of an aftermarket environment where clear, accurate, and practical documentation makes a direct difference for service personnel in their daily work.
You will work in a team of technical writers and collaborate closely with illustrators and method engineers across several teams. Together, you will turn technical input and base repair methods into structured, high-quality workshop manual content that is easy for the end user to understand and apply.
This role suits you if you enjoy translating technical complexity into clear documentation and can quickly get up to speed in a specialized industrial context. It is an interesting opportunity to work close to modern vehicle technology and contribute to information that has real operational value.
Job Description
- You will create and refine descriptions of repair methods for workshop manual content.
- You will document methods related to engines, batteries for electric vehicles, and general transmission.
- You will collaborate with technical writers, illustrators, and method engineers to ensure the material is accurate and useful for service personnel.
- You will adapt technical information to the right level of detail, clarity, and quality for the target audience.
- You will work in documentation and production systems such as Ewok/Windchill, Arbortext, and PDM environments.
- You will contribute to a structured documentation flow connected to consuming systems such as WiO and SWS.
Requirements
- Experience working as a technical writer.
- Experience from industrial contexts.
- Ability to understand technical terminology and basic technical concepts.
- Ability to produce clear, high-quality descriptions adapted to the customer and end-user context.
- You are a quick learner and have the drive to move work forward.
- Fluent Swedish.
- Good English skills.
Nice to have
- General knowledge of heavy vehicle technology.
- Knowledge of electric vehicles and battery technology.
- Experience from brands within the Traton group.
- Basic illustration competency.
