About the Role

You will take ownership of the diagnostic area in inverter software development within an advanced automotive environment focused on electrified drivetrains. In this role, you will work close to software, hardware, and system disciplines to ensure that diagnostic solutions meet legislation, standards, and product requirements while remaining robust in real-world use.

You will have a central position in turning complex requirements into a clear diagnostic strategy and architecture, while collaborating with engineering teams across Sweden and China. This is a strong opportunity for you who want to influence diagnostic design in a technically demanding area where software quality, functional behavior, and compliance all matter.

Job Description

• You will lead and own the diagnostic domain within inverter software development.
• You will analyze requirements based on OBD legislation, ISO standards, OEM requirements, and FMEA.
• You will define monitor strategies with a strong focus on robustness and stability.
• You will compile and structure diagnostic requirements on both software and component level.
• You will design diagnostic architecture together with application software and basic software.
• You will collaborate with system engineers, BSW engineers, and hardware engineers on diagnostic functionality across international teams.
• You will support unit design from a diagnostic perspective.
• You will prepare key deliveries such as OBD certification documents and fault handling specifications.
• You will support test planning and test case definition for diagnostic functions.
• You will work with test teams to analyze issues and validate diagnostic behavior.
• You will support the interaction between diagnostics and FuSa.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of OBDII, EOBD, J1979, J2012, and ISO14229.
• Good understanding of FMEA and FTA, with the ability to perform diagnostic analysis.
• Advanced skills in knowledge transfer and presentations.
• Solid understanding of electrified transmissions and electric drive units.
• Experience in diagnostic work methodology, audits, and assessment.
• Experience in diagnostic monitor design for hybrid transmission.
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR, especially DEM and FIM.
