About the Role

You will join a major modernization initiative in the banking sector, where legacy Broadcom/CA tools are being replaced with new target solutions in a complex mainframe environment. In this role, you will work closely with a project team to understand how existing technologies are used, define suitable replacement approaches, and support the transition from current tools to future-state solutions.

This is a hands-on and advisory role for you who enjoy combining analysis, design, and migration work in a technically demanding environment. You will have the opportunity to influence solution choices, help shape the migration roadmap, and contribute to changes that affect a broad mainframe landscape.

Job Description

• You will analyze the current use of mainframe software and related technologies in the organization.
• You will help define, assess, and design alternative solutions to replace existing Broadcom/CA-based tooling.
• You will plan and execute migrations to new target solutions together with the project team.
• You will support rollout activities and help ensure that changes are implemented in a structured and sustainable way.
• You will contribute with mainframe expertise in discussions around integrations, cross-platform communication, and solution design.
• You will collaborate with stakeholders involved in mainframe development, tooling, and infrastructure.

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience working with IBM zOS.
• Knowledge of Endevor configuration.
• Experience with cross-platform communications.
• Knowledge of mainframe and midrange scripting languages.
• Knowledge of mainframe Unix System Service.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of or experience with CA tools such as Easytrieve, Telon, JCL Check, CA Spool, and TPX.
• Knowledge of mainframe SDLC, CI/CD, and VSCode.
• Understanding of midrange tools and integration with mainframe.
• Experience with mainframe infrastructure such as transaction managers, databases, queue systems, CICS, and IMS.
