About the Role
You will step into a key purchasing role in a global powertrain environment focused on hybrid engines, transmissions, and related systems. The assignment sits in a complex and developing area where procurement has a direct impact on cost, quality, supplier performance, and long-term competitiveness. You will work closely with colleagues in procurement as well as stakeholders in R&D, Strategy & Business, Manufacturing, Logistics, SQM, Manufacturing Engineering, and After Market.
This is a role for you who want to influence sourcing decisions in an international setup and contribute to high-value purchasing in a technically advanced product area.
Job Description
- You will drive and develop purchasing activities within powertrain systems and accessories.
- You will identify, evaluate, and implement cost-reduction opportunities while balancing quality and business value.
- You will act as the main point of contact for suppliers and build productive long-term relationships.
- You will lead market benchmarking, supplier evaluations, and strategic sourcing activities.
- You will negotiate commercial terms and support agreement handling and ordering activities.
- You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across R&D, Strategy & Business, Manufacturing, Logistics, SQM, Manufacturing Engineering, and After Market.
- You will help develop and optimize the supplier base to support future business needs.
- You will contribute in a global setting together with procurement teams in Europe and China.
Requirements
- Business or Technical University degree, or equivalent.
- Experience from commercial and/or engineering work (2-5 years), including commercial negotiations and legal knowledge.
- Strong business acumen combined with high integrity.
- Ability to prioritize your work, handle parallel activities, and deliver on time.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Experience working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.
