About the Role

You will join an R&D team developing a handheld device used in robotics. The team is building the next generation programming interface for customers in a cross-platform solution based on modern .NET technologies. This is a role for you if you enjoy working close to the product, combining application development with the realities of embedded environments.

You will collaborate with other engineers in a Lean-Agile setup with a global mindset, where shared goals, quality and continuous improvement are part of the daily work. The environment is technically demanding and gives you the opportunity to work with both user-facing software and performance-critical challenges on resource-constrained platforms.

What makes this role especially interesting is the mix of modern C#/.NET development, embedded Linux and robotics in a product-focused R&D setting.

Job Description

• You will develop the next generation programming interface for a handheld device in robotics.
• You will work with cross-platform software using C#, .NET, WPF and XAML.
• You will contribute to solutions running on embedded Linux environments, including Yocto and Buildroot.
• You will improve responsiveness and reliability through asynchronous programming, memory profiling and performance profiling.
• You will help build software for resource-constrained platforms where efficient design and implementation matter.
• You will work closely with the team to move development forward in a Lean-Agile R&D environment.

Requirements

• Experience with embedded Linux, Yocto and Buildroot
• Experience in software development with C#, .NET, WPF and XAML
• Experience in asynchronous programming
• Experience in memory and performance profiling
• Experience developing software for resource-constrained platforms

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Windows system programming and configuration
• Knowledge of HTML5 and JavaScript
• Domain knowledge in robotics
