About the Role

You will join an assignment focused on strengthening Bluetooth capabilities in Android AOSP for automotive platforms. The role sits close to the core of the system, where connectivity, stability, and integration across multiple layers are critical to the overall user experience. You will work in an environment where Bluetooth is not an isolated feature, but a central part of how devices, audio, and system services interact in the vehicle.

This is a role for you if you enjoy low-level Android development and want to solve complex connectivity challenges in a modern automotive context. You will contribute to functionality that needs to work reliably across devices and use cases, while collaborating with teams working across both platform and hardware. It is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with Android internals, Bluetooth stack architecture, and system-level integration in a technically demanding domain.

Job Description

• You will develop and enhance Bluetooth functionality in Android AOSP.
• You will implement Bluetooth features that support multi-device and mobile connectivity in automotive systems.
• You will integrate Bluetooth with the Android Framework, Android Audio, and system services.
• You will work closely with platform and hardware teams to build robust and reliable connectivity solutions.
• You will contribute to troubleshooting and analysis related to Bluetooth behavior, protocols, and stack interactions.
• You will help ensure that Bluetooth functionality performs well in a system environment with high demands on stability and integration.

Requirements

• You have strong experience with Android AOSP and Bluetooth development.
• You have good knowledge of Bluetooth Classic, BLE, and common Bluetooth profiles.
• You have strong C/C++ skills and solid experience in Android system software development.
• You have experience working with HCI, btsnoop, and Bluetooth stack architecture.
• You are comfortable collaborating across platform and hardware disciplines in a system-oriented development environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Android Audio.
• Experience with Linux Bluetooth, including BlueZ.
• Experience with Automotive or AAOS.
