About the Role
You will help shape virtual manufacturing solutions for advanced battery production in the automotive industry. In this role, you will work with Cell-to-Pack manufacturing processes and make sure product and process solutions are ready to scale across global production environments, from manual stations to automated flows.
You will collaborate closely with manufacturing engineering, production teams, and R&D to turn design intent into robust, efficient, and quality-assured production setups. The work spans quality, line balancing, cost efficiency, flexibility, environmental performance, and changeover. It is a strong opportunity if you want to influence how next-generation battery manufacturing is designed before it reaches the shop floor.
Job Description
- You will develop and prepare manufacturing processes for battery production, with a focus on Cell-to-Pack.
- You will work virtually to validate product and process solutions before implementation in production.
- You will support both manual and automated manufacturing setups and help create scalable solutions for global plants.
- You will collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing engineering, production facilities, and R&D to secure manufacturability and process performance.
- You will contribute to process design decisions that improve quality, line balancing, cost efficiency, flexibility, environmental performance, and changeover.
- You will use digital manufacturing tools to simulate, review, and optimize production concepts.
Requirements
- You have at least 5 years of experience in process design for body shop or battery shop (cell to pack).
- You have experience in product design for manufacturing (DFA/DFM).
- You are skilled in Siemens Teamcenter and Process Simulate.
- You have a technical university education, or equivalent experience.
- You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
- You work in a structured way and are comfortable with documentation.
- You are self-driven, result oriented, and flexible.
- You are able to complete a required basic background check.
Nice to have
- You have experience in robot offline programming.
- You enjoy working in a cross-functional and project-oriented environment.
