About the Role

You will play a key role in making rugged IT solutions safe, compliant, and ready for use in demanding environments. The assignment focuses on identifying and reducing system-related risks throughout the product lifecycle, with close collaboration across engineering, design, and project teams.

Job Description

• You will conduct system safety assessments and risk analyses for products and solutions.
• You will identify, analyze, and mitigate hazards in hardware- and software-based systems.
• You will help ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, standards, and customer requirements.
• You will produce and maintain documentation such as hazard logs, safety case reports, and safety recommendations.
• You will participate in design reviews and guide teams on safety-critical aspects.
• You will support internal teams and stakeholders with safety-related knowledge and training.
• You will act as an important contact point for safety matters in dialogue with customers and partners.
• You will collaborate closely with project managers, system engineers, and designers.

Requirements

• Experience in systems engineering or safety engineering, ideally within the defense or high-tech sector.
• Proficiency in identifying and analyzing hazards in hardware and/or software-based systems.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English.
• Comfort working with customers and in cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience using Microsoft Office tools for reporting and presentations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, for example Electrical, Systems, or Safety Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to pass security clearance (requires Swedish citizenship, dual citizenship not permitted)

Nice to have

• Experience working with safety standards such as MIL-STD-882, IEC 61508, or ISO 26262.
• Experience from projects in a defense-related environment.
• Knowledge of product development processes for rugged or mission-critical systems.
• Additional training or certification in system safety or risk management.
