About the Role
You will step into a development environment within heavy truck engineering where mechanical design must work reliably in demanding chassis applications. The role focuses on VCB-related installations and modular development, including distribution boxes, charging boxes, inlet installations, PTO installations, cable harness brackets, strain relief solutions, and cable interface integration in the chassis domain.
You will work close to the product and collaborate with global teams across product planning, production, and design to create robust, scalable solutions for ongoing truck projects. Alongside the design work, you will also contribute to improving digital tools and engineering processes, making this a great role if you want to combine hands-on design with real influence on future transport solutions.
Job Description
- You will design and develop VCB system installations for heavy truck projects using CATIA V5 and established design standards.
- You will drive installation work for components and interfaces in the chassis domain, with focus on function, packaging, and manufacturability.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to develop robust and production-ready design solutions.
- You will support integration activities, validation testing, and design reviews to help secure quality and timely progress.
- You will maintain and update technical documentation and support production-related activities when needed.
- You will take part in daily team collaboration, including stand-ups, coordination meetings, and knowledge sharing.
- You will contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering methods, digital tools, and ways of working.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years of design engineering experience.
- Strong skills in sheet metal bracket design.
- Experience in chassis installation for heavy-duty trucks.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 and tolerance analysis.
- Knowledge of manufacturability principles for sheet metal.
- Ability to work closely with suppliers and internal teams in design reviews.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Ability to complete a background check before the assignment begins.

- Experience from the automotive industry.
- Experience from a large-scale truck or group R&D environment.
