About the Role

You will help build and evolve a modern data platform in a cloud-based environment where scalability, reliability, security, and data quality are central. In this role, you work close to data scientists, analysts, and engineers to make sure the data foundation supports both day-to-day operations and long-term development.

Your focus is on creating a platform that is stable, efficient, and easy to develop on. That means combining strong platform engineering with a solid understanding of data workloads in GCP, infrastructure as code, and automated delivery flows. You will also play an important part in improving performance, cost-efficiency, and operational quality across the platform. Job Description

• You design, build, and manage scalable data platforms in GCP.
• You implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• You automate deployments and delivery workflows with GitHub Actions.
• You work with data modelling and transformation using dbt.
• You collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to secure data availability and quality.
• You monitor and optimize data pipelines with a focus on performance and cost-efficiency.
• You contribute to a secure and compliant data platform by supporting the right controls and ways of working.
• You troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data infrastructure and platform operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong expertise in GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Workflows, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions.
• Experience with dbt for data transformation.
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
• You are comfortable working closely with both technical and data-focused stakeholders.
• You have strong problem-solving skills and good attention to detail.
