About the Role

You will help shape a secure, scalable, and reliable cloud platform in GCP where automation, developer enablement, and operational excellence are central to the work. In this role, you combine software engineering, infrastructure, and cloud architecture to build platform capabilities that make it easier for engineering teams to develop, deploy, and operate services with confidence.

You will work close to engineers, architects, product teams, and stakeholders to strengthen stability, security, compliance, and self-service across the platform. Job Description

• You design, build, and maintain scalable platform services and cloud infrastructure in GCP.
• You develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• You build and improve CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• You develop and maintain platform services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• You manage and optimize PostgreSQL environments and platform integrations.
• You strengthen availability, observability, reliability, and security across platform services.
• You collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve developer experience and platform adoption.
• You implement cloud governance, access control, and security best practices.
• You troubleshoot platform and infrastructure issues and drive lasting improvements.
• You support networking, connectivity, identity management, and automation across cloud environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Strong experience with Python development.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or similar backend frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, and integrations.
• Extensive experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering principles.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud architectures.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and operating applications or platforms on Kubernetes.
• Experience with metadata and data governance platforms such as OpenMetadata.
• Knowledge of GCP networking, including Load Balancers, DNS, TLS/SSL Certificates, and Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP).
• Understanding of cloud security and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tooling.
• Experience working with internal developer platforms or in large-scale enterprise environments.
