About the Assignment
We are looking for a CAE Engineer to support a Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics team working with both current and future vehicle platform concepts. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional attribute teams to align suspension system performance, contributing to data-driven decisions through simulation and analysis in a technical, collaborative environment.
Job Description
- Support studies of current and future platform concepts within Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics
- Collaborate with attribute teams to align and balance suspension system performance
- Build and analyze kinematic models for package studies
- Perform Kinematics & Compliance (K&C) analysis on suspension layouts
- Run lap simulations and vehicle dynamics evaluations
- Perform ADAMS simulations and build ADAMS RT models
- Improve queuing behavior in the driving simulator
- Improve brake and steering feel in the driving simulator
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Chassis System Development
- Strong understanding of chassis system and concept development
- Ability to balance attribute requirements such as NVH, vehicle dynamics, durability, corrosion and brakes
- Experience with multiple suspension system layouts
- Vehicle dynamics competence and understanding
- Tool experience: MS Office, Adams, Matlab/Simulink, ADAMS RT, lap simulations, VI-grade, simulator software setup (DIM 250), Autohawk 64
Nice to have
- Experience collaborating in international, multicultural engineering environments
- Agile and solution-oriented way of working in cross-team settings
