About the Assignment
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to contribute across the full product development cycle—turning early concepts into robust machine solutions, building prototypes, and validating performance through hands-on testing. You will work cross-functionally with stakeholders such as project and product management, industrial design, aftermarket, and manufacturing, and collaborate with external partners including suppliers, customers, and certification bodies.
Job Description
- Translate complete-machine requirements into system and component requirements
- Conceptualize and design machine systems with focus on manufacturability, maintainability, testability, affordability, safety, and security
- Build prototypes and verify concepts through practical testing
- Release parts and assemblies in the PLM system
- Support product improvements and quality-related work
- Contribute to product safety risk analyses and certification activities
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering
- At least five years of relevant experience in machine or product development
- Strong knowledge of sheet-metal and welded structures, and forged, cast, and machined components
- Deep competence in mechanical analysis and dimensioning (e.g., gears and shafts, rotating parts, bearings, lubrication, belt transmissions, noise and vibration, durability predictions, and CAE methods)
- Ability to develop solutions for complex mechanical challenges
Nice to have
- Hands-on practical experience
- Experience with CATIA
