About the Assignment
You will join a team building a finance-focused product in an international automotive environment. The solution is being carved out from an existing monolith into a modern, service-based application that supports claim payments and meets updated legal and business requirements across multiple markets.
The product handles claim cost data, calculates dealer payouts, generates payment and specification documents, and integrates with finance, document archiving, and EDI platforms. You will work in a setup where reliability, traceability, and secure integrations are central, with support for restartable processing, resend flows, document download APIs, and status publishing.

Job Description
- Design, build, and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices with a clear hexagonal architecture.
- Develop event-driven flows for financial transactions and surrounding integrations.
- Implement and improve integrations with Azure services, MQ, finance systems, document archiving, and EDI platforms.
- Build secure and resilient processing with audit-friendly storage, restart capabilities, resend handling, and status publishing.
- Work with containerized deployments using Docker on Azure Red Hat OpenShift.
- Contribute to DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines in Azure Pipelines, and automated quality controls.
- Support observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting through Splunk.
Requirements
- Strong experience in microservice design.
- Strong experience with Java Spring Boot.
- Experience with event-driven design.
- Experience with Azure services such as Event Hub, Storage, and Cosmos DB.
- Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cosmos DB.
- Experience with MQ integrations secured with mutual TLS.
- Experience with Docker and container platforms such as Azure Red Hat OpenShift.
- Experience with DevSecOps and security tooling such as Sonar, SCA, SAST, and DAST.
- Experience with monitoring in Splunk.
- Familiarity with Liquibase, Terraform, and Kafka or similar streaming solutions.
