About the Role

You will join an initiative focused on securing reliable data for reporting and re-integration in a modern banking environment. The work centers on validating data products sourced from GCP and making sure the data reflects real account behavior, product logic, and critical business rules before it is used further downstream.

This is a role for you who enjoy the intersection of testing, data, and business understanding. Rather than focusing on infrastructure, performance, or broad integration testing, you will work close to the data itself and test how account-related scenarios are represented across products and pipelines. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and data engineers to create confidence in both data quality and reporting outcomes.

Job Description

• You will design and execute data-focused test cases based on account lifecycle scenarios such as account opening, transactions, changes, and closures.
• You will validate data content, completeness, and correctness across data products and pipelines.
• You will verify that business rules and product logic are accurately represented in the data.
• You will perform data validation and reconciliation using SQL.
• You will define, refine, and maintain realistic test scenarios, including edge cases tied to real-life account behavior.
• You will use tools such as Xray to structure, document, and follow up testing activities.
• You will validate and monitor data quality with tools such as Collibra Data Quality.
• You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and data engineers to align testing with business expectations.
• You will contribute to improving test methodology and more structured ways of working for data validation.

Requirements

• Certified tester, such as ISTQB or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of test methodology with a focus on functional testing and data testing.
• Proven experience in data validation and scenario-based testing.
• Experience working as a system tester with a strong data focus.
• Hands-on SQL experience for data verification and analysis.
• Good understanding of data flows and transformations in modern data platforms, ideally on GCP.
• Experience working with test tools such as Xray.
• Familiarity with data quality tools such as Collibra Data Quality.
• Ability to translate business scenarios into structured test cases.
• Fluent Swedish and English.

Nice to have

• Experience from the accounts and payments domain.
• Understanding of regulatory reporting and data accuracy requirements.
• Experience testing data products or analytical datasets.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as BCBS-239 and DORA.
• Experience with financial products or from the financial services industry.
