About the Assignment
You will join an operational team in an automotive test center responsible for running and maintaining Vehicle-in-the-Loop (VIL) test rigs. The environment includes a large number of rigs, where high automation is key while strong capability in fault tracing, testing, and planning rig usage is essential.
The role is hands-on and suited for someone who enjoys systematic troubleshooting, log-driven analysis, and ensuring stable, efficient test execution in a rapidly evolving setup.
Job Description
- Operate and support VIL (Vehicle-in-the-Loop) test rigs in daily test activities
- Perform rig fault tracing and troubleshooting in test environments
- Execute basetech testing such as SWDL, diagnostics, and gateway-related testing
- Analyze logs using tools such as CANoe, Wireshark, and DLT
- Carry out basic electrical fault tracing and contribute with mechanical/electrical hands-on support
- Plan and coordinate rig usage to enable efficient test execution
- Conduct complete vehicle testing when needed
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in basetech testing (SWDL, Diagnostic, Gateway, etc.)
- Log analysis experience using CANoe, Wireshark, DLT, or similar tools
- Basic electrical fault tracing experience in test environments
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge and practical experience
- Swedish driver license
- Experience with complete vehicle testing
- Experience with Vector tools (CANoe/CANAlyzer)
- Deep understanding of CAN/LIN/Ethernet protocols
Nice to have
- Knowledge of continuous integration
- Experience with baseline and binary management
- General test automation experience
