About the Assignment
We are looking for experienced Functional Safety assessors to perform a Functional Safety Assessment (FSA) according to ISO 26262:2018, including a Product Audit. The assessment will cover all safety items with at least one ASIL C or ASIL D safety goal, in an automotive development context with multiple architectural elements and supplier interfaces.
You will work closely with stakeholders responsible for ISO 26262 activities across lifecycle phases, including Management of Functional Safety, supporting processes, and ASIL- and safety-oriented analyses.
Job Description
- Plan and execute a Functional Safety Assessment (FSA) in accordance with ISO 26262:2018.
- Perform a Product Audit as part of the assessment scope.
- Assess safety management and relevant supporting processes.
- Review safety work products for safety items with ASIL C/D safety goals.
- Evaluate how safety requirements are communicated to suppliers and how fulfilment is followed up through safety-focused reviews.
- Verify adequacy and validity of platform requirements and safety assumptions for reused elements in the current context.
- Consolidate findings and produce final assessment reporting.
Requirements
- Competence in ISO 26262:2018 and documented experience performing functional safety assessments.
- Ability to execute Functional Safety Assessment (FSA) activities, including Product Audit.
- Experience assessing safety items with ASIL C and/or ASIL D safety goals.
Nice to have
- Experience working with complex electrical/electronic architectures and mixed platform reuse/new development.
- Experience collaborating with and assessing supplier safety interfaces and joint safety reviews.
